Its the Oscar season and the nominations are out. However, there are many deserving actors out there who have not yet even had the honour of nomination. Lets take the example of Alan Rickman.

The guy has played in various characterizations in plays as well as movies. He still is known as the Sheriff who cancelled Christmas in Robin Hood and as the bad guy in Die Hard. Never mind that both the movies were released about 20 years ago. Today's kids know him as Severus Snape. I personally feel the people have been under-appreciating his acting talent.  The Guardian named him as among the list of people to never receive a Academy Award nomination (also in the Empire 8th position in 2009's top sexiest alive people!).

And he does have an amazing voice!

Astrology Pandit Anyone?

With the latest new sunsign fiasco going on, I begin to wonder do people really really believe in astrology or is it simply fun for lack of a better brain stimulating activity?? How can we: the 21st century modernized cultured people even think about the possibilities that a heavenly body made from chemicals, gas and light have an effect on earthlings who reside millions of light years away. The entire idea is ridiculous and a bit amusing as well!

Fan Fiction ??

Technology....what a bloody miracle it is...blah blah...the normal praises to all the dead people(bless them) who by accidents or genius made a zillion discoveries slash inventions. So much so, that there happens to be a site pardon a mega zillion(or is it giga) sites dedicated to fan fiction.

Normal people might question fan fiction WHAT!!?? but normal people should make out that the meaning is damn obvious. So question arises why the bloody post. It so happens that I have fallen prey to the trap of reading fan fiction in all my spare time. Its become like an obsession and I am glad(i do have sadistic tendencies) that I am not alone to endure such a fate. Many people surf fan fiction which does cater to all fields from soap operas to movies from every corner of the world to books to whatever remotely creative piece of art. A section of those people find it hard to let go.

I am still not able to let go and find it hard not to type www.fanfiction.net in my browser every time I log on. It will be a bittersweet day for me when I will finally be able to resist the urge.
Looking forward to that day, I guess.
